Restorative Safe Passages
About the Program
Restorative Safe Passages (RSP) is a program that is designed to build positive relationships among students, adults, and police officers and ensure children are safe traveling to and from school.
RSP trains students in restorative strategies in order to give them the title of Peace Ambassadors in their community of peers. The program also engages school staff, police officers, and community volunteers in collaborating with the Peace Ambassadors to facilitate a whole village approach to safety from the moment students are entering the school building to the end of dismissal.
For the last two years, our Peace Ambassadors have also joined in the March for our Lives PA Advocacy Day in Harrisburg at the capital, and have had the opportunity to talk to legislators and spread awareness about sensible gun laws and the impact gun violence has has on their lives.
